Lisa was incredible supporting me during the time of my mothers passing. She was always there at the end of the phone to debrief and to help me understand my grief. Lisa played a pivotal role during the funeral service where she held my mothers dog. Lisa ensured I was looked after and that I had a shoulder to cry on . I would recomend Lisa as an End of Life Coach (death doula) to anyone who seeks assistance during the dying process.

Thank you so much for your professional and caring presentation on Advanced Health Directives. There was so much interest from the community - people who missed out have contacted to ask if we are hosting more such events.
The presentation was a wonderful balance of the practical, the emotional, and the personal with Lisa’s health professional background and Erin’s work as a death doula.
We received wonderful feedback from people who came along who so appreciated the opportunity to learn about Advanced Health Directives and how to prepare in such a practical way. The stories people shared about experiences with family members when no AHD was present were profound and touching, and you both dealt with it all so beautifully. People expressed over and over how important this topic is, and how grateful they were to be able to work through AHDs in a non-threatening and inclusive space.

I have had to employ Lisa’s services twice in the past couple of years when I lost both of my parents a year apart. I found Lisa to be very passionate about helping people through tough times. She is caring, kind and dedicated. Inspiring woman.

I am the sort of person who would not normally ask for help as I am a person of strong faith. However, this past year when my husband went into a hospital with both of us expecting treatment to work and to have him return home again. I definitely needed someone a little removed from it all who could stay calm, professional yet compassionate at the same time, candid; to help me through the process. He was not to return home and I was not prepared for this outcome.
I am so thankful to Lisa and her valuable help through the process of medical advanced care planning and facilitating. As she is a experienced nurse, being familiar with hospital processes was such a great advantage. She was able to go to bat for me with medical staff, to help ask the right questions and to advise me of what to expect next and what to do.
Of course, death is a natural part of life but it is something we dont like to talk or think about. To have to come to terms with with the difficult realisation that my husband was going to leave this earth. At this point I was overtired, emotional, grieving, confused (still hoping), I needed another perspective as I was unable to think or process on my own. I was still hoping for a miracle, a recovery but Lisa saw the reality of what was happening and was able to help us both come face to face with death.
Lisa was able to sit with me and help me decipher what the doctors and other medical teams were saying and their advice. She spoke with my husband in a frank but loving way and explained where things were at and told him how loved he was. He was very grateful for thier chats. Lisa then explained to me that I needed to give him permission to stop all invasive treatments and “let go” if he was to choose this; to be free to choose end of life care. I had not realised that he was tryng to fight just for me and so, was able to have a discussion with him and to give him that permission that he needed to hear. Hard as it was for me, that is what he chose.
Lisa was “there” if needed, unobtrusive, calm, honest explaining the end of life and dying process in a quiet, confident and supportive manner. She explained things in a way that I could understand. She was also there for the rest of the family. It was so valuable to have Lisa’s guidance and support to deal with my loss and she eased the way for me. I am forever grateful.
