Death is a natural and important part of life.
My story
Death is a natural and important part of life. We are all “dying”. Most of us just don’t know when. In Western culture we tend to avoid discussions around death and dying, so when death occurs (or is happening), some individuals and families are not mentally, emotionally or financially prepared. Grief and loss of this nature can lead to quite intense, unhealed trauma.
My name is Lisa and my interest and passion in end of life services began as a child, but became more apparent with the loss of my father in 2012. Dad was 56 years old. He passed away from a cancer he was “too young” to be diagnosed with. At this time I was doing the role of an end of life coach for my family, but I didn’t even realise it.
Over the years, with my life experiences and in my role as a Registered Nurse and a Veterinary Nurse, I have come to witness that others undertaking this journey lacked education, services, companionship and care, while navigating an often difficult area of life. Families need closure, support and comfort and to know that everyone deserves a “good death”.
Lets do death differently.
My goals and values
I want to enrich the dying experience for my clients, their family members and friends. I value building and strengthening the relationship between medical and non-medical supports, and provide a unique and holistic approach to assist and guide individuals and families during this transformative life stage.
